Bayern Munich’s status as one of Europe’s leading football clubs has enabled the German giants to attract some of the world’s finest players, but maintaining a squad filled with elite talent comes at a high financial cost.

With top footballers commanding lucrative contracts, the club spends millions of pounds annually on player wages as it continues to compete for domestic and European honours.

According to GiveMeSport, using data from Capology on Thursday, England captain and 2026 Ballon d’Or winner Harry Kane is Bayern Munich’s highest-paid player, earning a reported £406,719 per week.

Kane’s salary places him ahead of several other major earners in Vincent Kompany’s squad, including Germany international Jamal Musiala and midfielder Joshua Kimmich.

The reported figures cover players across the club’s goalkeeping, defensive, midfield and attacking departments, excluding additional performance-related bonuses.

Kane leads Bayern Munich’s highest earners

Kane remains Bayern Munich’s biggest earner, with his reported weekly salary equivalent to more than £21 million annually before bonuses.

The England striker has established himself as a key figure in the club’s attack, with his reputation as one of the world’s leading forwards reflected in his reported earnings.

Musiala ranks second on the list, earning £371,416 per week. The Germany international is among Bayern’s most valuable attacking talents, although he has been working towards regaining his best form following a serious injury.

Kimmich is another of the club’s highest-paid players, earning a reported £325,375 weekly after signing a new contract in March 2025.

Serge Gnabry also commands a substantial salary despite reportedly accepting a pay cut, with his weekly earnings standing at £211,494.

Meanwhile, Luis Díaz, who joined Bayern from Liverpool in 2025, earns a reported £227,763 per week, slightly more than Michael Olise’s £219,791.

Olise could earn improved terms if he agrees a new contract, according to the report.

Veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is the highest-paid player in Bayern’s goalkeeping department, earning a reported £245,496 per week.

The club captain’s salary reflects his standing in world football and his long service to the German champions.

Sven Ulreich, who has spent much of his Bayern career as Neuer’s understudy, earns £30,748 weekly, while Jonas Urbig reportedly takes home £21,475.

The figures underline the significant wage difference between Bayern’s established first-choice goalkeeper and the club’s alternative options.

Dayot Upamecano is reportedly Bayern Munich’s highest-paid defender, earning more than £260,000 per week following a contract renewal in the summer of 2026.

Alphonso Davies is also among the club’s major earners in defence, with the Canadian international taking home a reported £244,032 weekly.

Jonathan Tah and Kim Min-jae each earn just under £200,000 per week, while versatile defender Konrad Laimer receives nearly £150,000.

Josip Stanišić earns more than £100,000 weekly, while Hiroki Ito’s reported salary is around £60,000.

Nathaniel Brown, who the report says joined from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2026, earns a reported £122,829 per week.

Kimmich heads Bayern’s midfield wage rankings with his reported weekly salary of £325,375.

Leon Goretzka, who the report says has moved to Aston Villa, previously earned £216,614 per week.

Young midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović reportedly earns £92,081 weekly, while Tom Bischof takes home £46,041.

Teenagers Bara Sapoko Ndiaye and David Santos Daiber are among the club’s lower-paid midfielders, with each reportedly earning £9,273 per week.

Their salaries reflect their status as emerging talents rather than established first-team stars.

Díaz, Olise and Gnabry among attacking earners

Bayern’s attacking department features several players on substantial contracts.

Díaz earns a reported £227,763 per week following his move from Liverpool, while Olise receives £219,791.

Gnabry’s weekly salary stands at £211,494 after an alleged reduction from his previous £314,424 earnings.

Ismael Saibari, who the report says joined from PSV in a €50 million deal during the summer of 2026, earns a reported £162,688 weekly.

Young forward Lennart Karl’s wages reportedly increased to £61,333 per week in early 2026 after he secured improved terms.

Despite the substantial salaries across the squad, Kane remains Bayern Munich’s highest-paid player, followed by Musiala and Kimmich.

The figures highlight the financial commitment required to maintain a squad capable of competing at the highest level, although the reported wages are estimates and may not include all bonuses or other contractual payments.
