Kevin Taylor Exposes Serwaa? Demands Immediate GHOne TV Action
According to a report by Ghbase News on Wednesday October 28, 2026, Ghanaian journalist and social commentator Kevin Taylor has called on GHOne TV to dismiss broadcaster Serwaa Amihere following her recent comments advising young women against purchasing counterfeit designer bags, wigs and clothing.
Taylor, who made the remarks on his Loud Silence platform, questioned Serwaa’s credibility and criticised her for offering advice that he believes could be seen as unfair to young women who aspire to own luxury fashion products but cannot afford the original versions.
The US-based commentator argued that Serwaa should be mindful of her own past before criticising others over their fashion choices.
He claimed that the broadcaster had also worn fake designer products before she began purchasing original items, citing old photographs of her as part of his argument.
According to Taylor, the broadcaster should not condemn young women for using imitation luxury products when, in his view, she had allegedly done the same in the past.
He further highlighted the financial difficulties many Ghanaians face, arguing that the high prices of luxury fashion brands make their original products unaffordable for a significant section of the population.
Taylor suggested that Serwaa’s comments failed to adequately consider the economic realities of young women who may want to look fashionable without spending large sums of money on designer accessories and clothing.
He also made a comparison with Europe, claiming that Serwaa would have been deported quickly if she lived there because of the comments she made. However, he did not establish a legal basis for that assertion.
Going further, Taylor urged GHOne TV to take immediate action against the broadcaster, insisting that the station should sack her over the controversy.
In his criticism, he also made a personal remark about Serwaa’s teeth, claiming that she wears fake teeth and questioning whether they guarantee fresh breath. The comment added a personal dimension to his attack on the television presenter.
Serwaa’s original remarks centred on encouraging young women to avoid purchasing counterfeit designer products, including Hermès Birkin and Louis Vuitton bags.
She argued that carrying fake luxury items could influence how other people perceive them.
Her advice has now attracted criticism from Taylor, who believes her position overlooks the financial limitations faced by many young people.
The disagreement has brought renewed attention to discussions about luxury fashion, affordability, authenticity and the pressure on young people to maintain particular lifestyles.
While Serwaa’s comments focused on the perceived social consequences of using counterfeit designer products, Taylor’s response centred on affordability and what he considers inconsistency in her position.
It remains unclear whether GHOne TV will respond to Taylor’s demand for Serwaa Amihere’s dismissal.
