Mbadi Flags Caravan to Rally ODM Supporters to Grace Jacaranda Rally After They Missed Siaya Event

Nairobi has witnessed a major political momentum shift as the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) gears up for a massive gathering in the capital.

According to an official statement released by The ODM Party on X, Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has officially flagged off a high-energy road caravan aimed at mobilizing supporters across seventeen Nairobi constituencies ahead of a major weekend rally at Jacaranda Grounds.

This bold outreach has come right after key political figures from both UDA and ODM missed the recent memorial event in Siaya, where hostile opposition presence created significant tension.

Determined to reclaim their political foothold and regroup after that setback, party organizers have shifted their focus to the city to ensure maximum attendance and unity among their base.

The upcoming gathering on Saturday, October 31, 2026, has been designated as the grand climax of the #MweziWaBaba commemorative activities.

These nationwide events have marked the first anniversary of the passing of founding party leader Raila Amolo Odinga, honoring his long-standing legacy in Kenyan politics.

Youth leaders across all seventeen Nairobi branches have actively spearheaded the initiative, inspiring the leadership to hit the streets directly and build momentum ahead of the main event.

As the caravan traverses various estates, party organizers have reported overwhelming enthusiasm from residents across the capital.

The big question now remains whether hundreds of thousands of supporters from all walks of life will turn up at Jacaranda Grounds, making it one of the largest political gatherings in recent months.

Party officials have reassured the public that all security and logistical measures have been finalized to guarantee a smooth, peaceful, and historic event for everyone attending.

With the political temperature rising in Nairobi, the Jacaranda event has positioned itself as a pivotal moment for ODM to demonstrate its enduring strength, honor its late leader’s legacy, and send a clear message of unity to competitors across the country.
