DStv, GOtv New Prices: See What Subscribers Will Pay From November 5

MultiChoice Nigeria has introduced new DStv and GOtv subscription packages, with prices starting at ₦6,000 monthly and a dedicated sports package offering every Premier League and UEFA Champions League match.

The changes will reorganise DStv into four packages: Starter, Select, Sports and Premium. GOtv will also introduce four options: Easy, Starter, Select and Sports.

The new structure lowers the entry price to ₦6,000 monthly and introduces a ₦21,000 DStv Sports package for viewers who want access to major football competitions without subscribing to the most expensive tier.

According to MultiChoice’s announcement, the changes are designed to simplify package selection and expand access to sports and entertainment.

DStv’s revised structure includes four monthly subscription options.

The new DStv Sports package is one of the major changes in the revised lineup.

The package also includes the general entertainment channels available on Select.

However, viewers who want additional competitions such as Formula 1, MotoGP and major golf tournaments will still need to consider Premium.

DStv Starter will also carry selected major football fixtures through the new SuperSport KICKOFF channel, including the Premier League Match of the Week and selected Champions League matches.

GOtv will also reorganise its packages into four tiers: Easy, Starter, Select and Sports.

The revised lineup is scheduled to take effect on November 5, alongside the DStv changes.

However, the announcement does not provide a complete price breakdown for all four GOtv packages.

The new structure is intended to give customers more options based on their entertainment preferences.

MultiChoice is also refreshing its movie and general entertainment offerings.

The new lineup includes M-Net Movies+, M-Net Stars and M-Net Legends, which the company says will provide more blockbuster films, faster access to new releases and fewer repeats.

The revised packages will also expand access to selected entertainment content across different subscription levels.

For households that prioritise films, local productions and children’s programming over live sports, Select may offer a more suitable alternative to the sports-focused package.

MultiChoice has also announced a hardware promotion for new customers.

Under the offer, eligible customers can purchase a decoder, a full installation kit and one month of an entry-level subscription for ₦15,000.

The promotion is scheduled to run from November 2, 2026, to February 28, 2027.

The company is also promoting DStv Stream as an alternative for customers who prefer watching through compatible internet-connected devices rather than relying exclusively on satellite equipment.

The revised subscription packages are scheduled to become available on November 5, 2026.

The changes come as MultiChoice seeks to simplify its offerings and respond to changing viewing habits, including the growing use of streaming services.

Those who mainly watch selected football matches may consider an entry-level option, while viewers seeking every Premier League and Champions League fixture can compare the ₦21,000 Sports package with the more comprehensive Premium offering.
