Woman filmed being kicked and struck by men allegedly linked to the ANC

A video circulating on social media appears to show a woman lying on a public street while men allegedly linked to the ANC kick and strike her, with police vehicles, a crowd and people filming the incident nearby. Some onlookers appear to applaud as the confrontation unfolds, while men wearing political or campaign shirts are visible at the scene. The person sharing the footage used it to urge women who receive support from men in South Africa not to vote for the ANC in the election scheduled for 4 November 2026.

What the post does not settle is whether the men were actually linked to the ANC, since the post says the identities of the people involved and their political affiliations have not been independently established. The post also does not say where the incident took place or when. Those details matter because they would establish the context of the attack. Without them, the clip shows only the assault, and the video has not been clearly linked to a verified event.

Others pushed back against the political framing, saying the video had not been linked to a verified event and that the men’s political affiliations had not been established. Some said the attack itself should be investigated regardless of politics, while others said the footage was being used to influence the election without any confirmation of what it showed.

The available information does not resolve who the men were or whether the attack was connected to any political party. The footage has circulated alongside a political accusation that remains unverified, and the post does not establish what led to the assault. The public is waiting for more information, because the clip has been used to influence voters without any confirmation of the identities or affiliations of those involved.
