The spectacular nighttime display illuminated the Doha skyline, projecting the Harambee Stars striker’s face alongside his name, “OLUNGA,” in massive lettering.

The visual tribute, situated near the prominent traffic routes to The Pearl-Qatar and Legtaifiya, drew widespread attention from residents, motorists, and football enthusiasts across the gulf nation.

The projection was commissioned to honor Olunga’s legendary status in Qatari football, solidifying his legacy after becoming the all-time leading goalscorer for Qatar Stars League powerhouse Al-Duhail, where he netting over 120 goals.

Affectionately nicknamed “The Engineer” due to his academic background in geospatial engineering, the Kenyan international has consistently made headlines across East Africa and the Middle East as one of the region’s most lethal forwards.

This massive tribute comes during a transitional period for the forward, who recently completed a high-profile move to fellow top-flight Qatari club Al-Arabi SC on a two-year contract.

Olunga’s return to peak form follows a resilient comeback from a severe pelvic injury that required specialized surgical intervention in Paris.

He recently marked his competitive return by scoring a spectacular brace for his new club.

Images and videos of the Al Jaber Twin Towers projection have since gone viral across social media platforms, sparking immense pride among Kenyan football fans globally and underscoring the profound impact of African talent in international sports leagues.
