Ruto Dares To Go Hard on Sifuna, Nyoro as He Fires Salvos ” I’ll Deal With Them Squarely”
Political friction surrounding major corporate transactions has escalated as the government defends its strategy to attract private capital into key national infrastructure projects.
According to official reports from Citizen TV Kenya and Business Today, President William Ruto has issued a direct warning to individuals questioning the sale of shares in the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC).
Speaking during the ground-breaking ceremony for the Devki cement plant in Ngaaie, Kitui County, the Head of State has firmly dismissed claims made by critics, including Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, regarding Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote’s purchase of KPC shares.
President Ruto has labeled opponents of the deal as extortionists and racketeers, arguing that KPC shares are publicly listed and available on the stock exchange for any willing buyer.
Addressing the gathering, the President has asserted that his administration will deal squarely with those attempting to sabotage foreign investments and derail national industrial growth.
This sharp response from the Head of State has come after Ndindi Nyoro alleged that the Ksh42.5 billion transaction favored private investors at the expense of public institutions and pension funds.
Simultaneously, opposition voices such as Edwin Sifuna have publicly questioned the transparency of the deal, criticizing the handling of state assets.
President Ruto, however, has urged critics to look at the broader picture of economic creation, job generation, and tax revenue rather than engaging in petty battles over corporate shareholding.
The President has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to protecting investors from political interference and illegal racketeering, maintaining that private partnerships remain essential for modernizing strategic infrastructure across the country.
Political observers have noted that the Head of State’s decisive stance at the Ngaaie event underscores the administration’s resolve to push forward with its economic agenda despite mounting criticism from political adversaries.
