“Ablakwa’s two properties in America uncovered” – Paul Adom Otchere alleges
Paul Adom-Otchere, the host of Good Evening Ghana, has stirred controversy after claiming that court records contain information about two properties in the United States allegedly connected to Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
In a post on the programme’s Facebook page, the journalist wrote that Ablakwa’s two American properties had been uncovered in court documents. However, he did not identify the properties, specify where they were located, or share the records on which the allegation was based.
The claim has prompted mixed reactions online, particularly because Ablakwa previously addressed questions about his property ownership during his 2025 parliamentary vetting. At the time, he stated under oath that his only house was located in the North Tongu Constituency and explained that the property he had occupied in the Airport Residential Area was rented.
Some social media users have questioned the allegation and called on Adom-Otchere to publish the court documents so the public can assess the evidence. Others have raised concerns about how the alleged properties could have been acquired during Ablakwa’s public service career.
However, some commentators believe the claim could be an attempt to damage the minister’s reputation or shift attention away from his responsibilities at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ablakwa has yet to issue a public response to the allegation. Until the relevant documents are released and the claims are independently verified, the assertion that he owns two properties in the United States remains unsubstantiated.
