Turkish Super Lig Golden Boot Table: Osimhen Joins Salah, Orban After Fenerbahçe Brace

According to a report by Flashscore on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Victor Osimhen has strengthened his position in the Turkish Super Lig Golden Boot race after scoring twice in Galatasaray’s 2-1 victory over Fenerbahçe.

The Super Eagles striker delivered a decisive performance at RAMS Park on Monday night, scoring both goals in the first half to help the defending champions claim bragging rights in the Istanbul derby.

Osimhen opened the scoring in the 29th minute after combining with Baris Alper Yilmaz before firing into the net. He completed his brace five minutes before half-time, heading home following Davinson Sanchez’s effort.

Fenerbahçe reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute through Irfan Can Kahveci, but Galatasaray held on to secure all three points.

The brace took Osimhen’s league tally to eight goals, placing him alongside Mohamed Salah and Gift Orban among the leading scorers in the 2026-27 campaign.

Salah, who plays for Trabzonspor, has also scored eight league goals, while Amedspor forward Orban reached the same total after his recent performances.

Osimhen’s scoring record is particularly notable because he has played fewer matches than some of his main competitors. The Nigerian striker has featured in seven league matches, according to the latest available Eurosport statistics, while Salah and Orban have each appeared nine times.

The Galatasaray forward will now look to maintain his scoring form as the season progresses and challenge for the Golden Boot.

The latest figures also underline the strong Nigerian presence in the competition, with Osimhen and Orban both competing among the division’s leading goalscorers.

Osimhen previously finished as the Turkish Super Lig’s top scorer in the 2024-25 season with 26 goals. He will be aiming to reclaim the individual honour after missing out last season.

His brace against Fenerbahçe also helped Galatasaray return to the top of the league standings with 22 points from nine matches.
