5 Prominent Obidient Members Including Aisha Yesufu Missing From NDC Presidential Campaign Council

According to a report by The Vanguard on Monday, October 26, 2026, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially released its 2027 presidential campaign council list for its standard-bearer, Peter Obi, alongside national leaders like Seriake Dickson.

However, the publication has stirred immediate reactions across political circles due to a major omission that has caught many supporters off guard.

Five high-profile figures who have heavily championed the Obidient movement and backed Obi are noticeably missing from the newly unveiled caucus, advisory council, and state coordinator directorates published on Sunday.

Leading the omitted names is Moses Paul, widely known as Dr. Mo. Recently appointed National Coordinator of the movement in October 2026 and previously endorsed by Obi for a local council run, his absence stands out significantly given his formal leadership stature.

Activist Aisha Yesufu is another prominent face left off the roster. Having officially pitched her tent with the NDC in May following her active role in the 2023 polls, her exclusion raised eyebrows.

Grassroots mobilizer Precious Oruche, fondly called Mama Pee, and digital creator Peter Akah, popularly known as Randy Peterz, both recognized for intense online and offline civic mobilization, are also missing from the released records.

Rounding out the notable absences is Isaac Fayose. The businessman, who heavily funded campaign activities and hosted movement meetings in Ibadan during the 2023 cycle, received a personal visit from Obi in July. Despite his visible public loyalty, he did not make the final lineup.

While the party moves forward with its campaign structure, political watchers are closely monitoring how these missing links might shape grassroots mobilization momentum moving toward the 2027 elections.
