‘NDC campaign council full of content creators’ – Presidency mocks Peter Obi.

The Presidency has mocked the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, over its newly released National Campaign Council list for the 2027 elections.

Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Policy Communications, Daniel Bwala, in a post on his verified X handle on Sunday said the NDC list, chaired by Seriake Dickson and Peter Obi as Co-Chairman is “full of content creators”.

NDC sacks Borno candidate over alleged pro-Atiku campaign.

The Nigeria Democratic Congress in Borno State has dismissed one of its candidates for the state House of Assembly, Mohammed Bunu, for allegedly campaigning for the African Democratic Congress presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

In a letter dated October 25, 2026, addressed to Bunu and signed by the NDC state deputy chairman, Umar Fema, the party said his conduct was considered inconsistent with its constitution, rules, regulations and established principles of discipline.

The letter, made available to our Punch on Sunday, said the matter concerned campaign materials bearing the logo of the African Democratic Congress, alongside the photographs and names of Atiku Abubakar and Bunu.

UPDATED: Ebola: Nigeria records two suspected cases, one confirmed —NCDC.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has reported two suspected cases of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), with one confirmed case, as the Federal Government intensifies efforts to contain the outbreak in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Director-General of the NCDC, Dr Jide Idris, disclosed this while briefing journalists on the situation, explaining that the two suspected cases were recorded in the FCT and Rivers State, respectively, but the suspected case in Rivers State tested negative.

2027: OK Movement faults NDC campaign council list.

The Obi-Kwankwaso Movement has faulted the Nigeria Democratic Congress over the unveiling of its National Campaign Council, questioning the party’s preparedness for the 2027 general elections and boasting that it has a stronger grassroots structure.

The Director-General of the OK Movement, John Ughulu, said the NDC had waited too long to organise its campaign machinery, warning that political ambition without effective grassroots mobilisation and coordination would not guarantee electoral victory.

He stated this on Monday in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja, a day after the NDC announced the composition of its campaign council ahead of its inauguration in the Federal Capital Territory.
