FCMB Group Sets December 29 Deadline for Q3 Financial Results as Subsidiary Audit Continues

FCMB Group Plc has extended the publication of its third-quarter 2026 financial results until December 29 as the interim audit of its largest subsidiary, First City Monument Bank Limited, remains ongoing.

The financial services group disclosed the development in a regulatory filing submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on October 23, 2026.

According to the disclosure, FCMB Group’s Board of Directors approved the unaudited financial statements for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, at a meeting held on Friday, October 23.

However, the company will not publish the results until the interim audit of First City Monument Bank Limited has been completed.

FCMB Group explained that the audit was necessary because of the subsidiary’s significance to its consolidated financial statements.

The company had previously obtained an extension from the NGX to accommodate the audit process and ensure the completion of the required financial reporting procedures.

Under the approved arrangement, FCMB Group is expected to submit its financial statements once the audit is completed, but no later than December 29, 2026.

The extension means investors may have to wait until late December to assess the group’s financial performance for the nine months ended September 30, 2026.

The forthcoming results will provide updated information on the group’s revenue, profitability, loan portfolio, operating expenses and financial position.

First City Monument Bank Limited is a major subsidiary of FCMB Group and contributes to the financial performance of its banking operations.

The ongoing audit therefore represents an important part of the group’s consolidated financial reporting process.

FCMB Group also confirmed that its closed period, which commenced on October 1, 2026, will remain in effect until 24 hours after the financial statements have been released to the public.

During this period, directors and other designated insiders are restricted from trading in the company’s securities in accordance with applicable capital market regulations.

The company did not disclose its third-quarter earnings figures or indicate whether profitability increased or declined during the reporting period.

The regulatory filing was signed by Company Secretary Olufunmilayo Adedibu.

With the board’s approval already secured, the publication of FCMB Group’s financial results now depends on the completion of the subsidiary’s interim audit within the extended reporting deadline.
