Ghana U-15 Boys thrash Guam 7-0 to maintain perfect World Cup run
Ghana’s National U-15 Boys team continued their impressive campaign at the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan with a commanding 7-0 win over Guam in their third Group W match on Sunday.
The victory extended Ghana’s winning run to three matches, with the team scoring 18 goals in the group stage to maintain their position at the top of Group W.
Emmanuel Afful led the scoring with two goals, while Abdul Aziz Issah continued his fine form in front of goal to add to his tally at the tournament.
Abdul Latif Sa-ad opened the scoring with a composed finish before Afful doubled Ghana’s advantage. Raymond Agyapong then made it 3-0 with a well-taken effort, while Nathaniel Owusu also found the net to strengthen the team’s control of the match.
Afful completed his brace after the break, and Aziz Issah added another goal to cap Ghana’s dominant display and secure a clean sheet.
The victory followed earlier wins over Uzbekistan, whom Ghana defeated 4-1, and Myanmar, who suffered a 7-1 loss.
Ghana will now prepare for their final two Group W matches against the Bahamas and Kazakhstan on Monday, October 26, as they look to maintain their unbeaten record in the competition.
