Crackdown on banned light bulbs across South Africa

The National Regulator for Compulsory Standards (NRCS) is conducting blitz operations across the country to remove illicit products from the market, including banned light bulbs.South African regulations specify that light bulbs with a luminous efficiency of less than 105 lumens per watt (lm/W) cannot be sold for general use.
