He has been an MP for 3 terms. You are barely halfway through your first term as MP –Dzata to A Plus

In an Official Facebook Post on 25 October 2026, Kpo Dzata Nelson penned a lengthy and reflective message directed at Kwame A Plus, responding to his repeated attacks on Johnson Asiedu Nketiah (JAN). Nelson acknowledged A Plus’ boldness and effrontery in challenging the NDC General Chairman but reminded him of the vast difference in political experience between the two men. He emphasized that Asiedu Nketiah has served three terms in Parliament, while A Plus is only halfway through his first term, and urged him to consider the lessons of history before continuing his attacks.

Nelson’s post carried a tone of both admonition and prayer. He urged A Plus to continue his political journey but prayed that life would be kind enough to allow him to reach the age of JAN, to serve multiple terms, and to rise through the ranks of Ghanaian politics. He encouraged A Plus to campaign across the length and breadth of the country, reminding him that “Ghana is bigger than Gomoa,” and that exposure to national politics would broaden his understanding of its complexities.

The message also extended to A Plus’ family, with Nelson praying that his children would grow to match or surpass the standards set by JAN’s children, and that they would one day champion his presidential ambitions. He highlighted JAN’s resilience, noting that he has won elections with his party, endured opposition years, and remained relevant through changing political fortunes. Nelson suggested that A Plus should aspire to build a similar legacy, empowering others and becoming a source of inspiration in the future.

The post was not merely a critique but a reminder of the long road of political leadership. Nelson pointed out that many senior colleagues in Parliament are mentees of JAN, and he prayed that A Plus would also live long enough to mentor others and build his own legacy. He concluded by expressing hope that when A Plus reaches the age of 69, or even earlier, people would project him for the presidency, and that history would remember him as a man who became better, achieved greater things, and perhaps even surpassed Asiedu Nketiah.

Ultimately, Nelson’s words blended criticism with aspiration. While he condemned A Plus’ harsh attacks on JAN, he also offered a vision of growth, maturity, and legacy, urging him to focus on building his political career rather than tearing down others. His post reflects the generational tension in Ghanaian politics, where younger leaders challenge established figures, but are reminded of the value of experience, longevity, and resilience.
