Majority leader in the national assembly Kimani Ichungwa has claimed that he is the right ‘medicine’ for the former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua adding that he will fight Gachagua’s popularity in Mount Kenya when the time is right.

Speaking during a development tour in Ukambani region headed by the head of state and government president William Ruto, Hon Kimani Ichungwa has maintained that Mount Kenya region is fully behind president William Ruto’s reelection bid.

“Mheshimiwa Rais Huko Mount Kenya Nasikia Mwingine Huko Mount Kenya Anasema Wantam. Nataka Kukuhakikishia Ya Kwamba Mimi Ndio Dawa Yake. Sisi Kama Mount Kenya Tuko Tutam. Huyo Nitadeal Na Yeye Kwa Sababu Lazima Tukuwe Ndani ya Serikali Kuu,” he said.

‘Your Excellency President William Ruto, there in Mount Kenya I here someone saying Wantam. I want to promise you that I am his ‘medicine’ I will deal with him. We as Mount Kenya we are in Tutam. And we must be in the government’ his statement reads when translated.
