Former Defence Minister and ex-Jigawa State governor, Badaru Abubakar, has hailed what he described as a massive turnout at President Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna. He said the mobilisation by Arewa for Asiwaju exceeded its target.
Badaru, who is the Director-General of Arewa for Asiwaju, described the turnout at Saturday’s rally as a demonstration of the commitment of the movement’s members to Tinubu’s re-election bid.
“We are delighted with the turnout at the Kaduna rally. Our mobilisation exceeded the target we set, and this demonstrates the commitment of our members and supporters across Northern Nigeria,” he said.
He commended the movement’s coordinators and mobilisation teams for their dedication and effective coordination, which he said contributed to the large turnout.
“I commend our coordinators and mobilisation teams at all levels for their hard work. I also thank the supporters who travelled from far and near to be part of this important event,” he said.
According to Badaru, surpassing the mobilisation target showed that the movement’s structures across northern Nigeria could work together towards a common objective.
He said the movement would sustain its grassroots engagement, expand its presence across the region, and continue mobilising for Tinubu’s second-term bid beyond the Kaduna event.
