“You Cannot Contribute Anything To Society”- Cross River Women Mock Oden Ewa During Peter Obi Solidarity Walk

Cross River Women Mock Critics During Solidarity Walk for Peter Obi, Say ‘You Cannot Contribute Anything to Society’

A group of women in Cross River State has stirred reactions after chanting a pointed message during a solidarity walk in support of National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi.

The women, who took part in the walk alongside other members of their community, were heard addressing an individual with the words: “Oden Ewa, just sit at home because you are being fed. That’s why you keep hoping. You cannot contribute anything to society.”

The chant appeared to be a response to the individual’s position, although further details about the person and the circumstances surrounding the remark were not provided.

The solidarity walk highlighted the participants’ support for Peter Obi and their willingness to publicly express their political views.

The incident has also drawn attention to the exchanges that can emerge during political activities, particularly as supporters and critics voice their opinions about public figures and political movements.

@Saint Vincent:”Lol🤣 NDC supporters didn’t come to play. Nigeria will be O.K”

@valentine Nwatu:”This is what we love to see.  Let the society decide who they want,  let the people decide, Wike is just one vote, he had no right to tell the people of Rivers who to and who not to vote. Allow democracy to prevail”

@Jasper💨:”People who knows what there need”
