KPLC Announces Sunday Power Outages in Nairobi, Kisumu, 3 Other Counties: Full List of Affected Area

Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced planned electricity interruptions in several parts of the country on Sunday, October 25, as the utility undertakes scheduled maintenance work.

The interruptions will affect selected areas in Nairobi, Machakos, Kisumu, Kiambu and Kilifi counties. Customers in the affected locations are expected to experience temporary power cuts at different times, depending on the scheduled maintenance.

In Nairobi County, the affected areas include parts of Komarock and Kayole, as well as Joska, Ruai and North Impact. The interruptions in these locations are scheduled to run from 7am to 5pm. Other affected areas include Utawala, Mihango, Njiru, Chokaa, Gituamba and Githunguri, among neighbouring locations.

In Machakos County, the outages will affect areas along Kangundo Road, from Joska to Nguluni, as well as Tala and Kangundo. The interruptions are scheduled to run from 9am to 5pm. Residents and businesses in the listed locations should prepare for the temporary loss of electricity during this period.

In Kisumu County, the planned maintenance will affect parts of Miwani, including Miwani Boys, Oraro, Nyangeta Police and Makini. However, the published notice does not specify the interruption hours for these locations.

In Kiambu County, the affected areas include Kahunira, Kamburu, Kagaa, Kagwe Tea Factory, Gachoire, Nyanduma, Mugumoini and Kagwe Shopping Centre. The interruption is scheduled from 9am to 5pm.

In Kilifi County, parts of Kanamai and Mtwapa will experience interruptions from 8am to 1pm. Other affected areas include Marafa, Garashi and Mambrui, where a separate outage is scheduled from 9am to 4pm.
