Kofi Bentil: Forson and Asiedu Nketiah Lack Dr. Bawumia’s Credentials

Private legal practitioner and Vice President of IMANI Africa, Kofi Bentil, has stated that neither Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson nor National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah possesses the credentials to match Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s track record.

In his assessment, Bentil argued that both opposition figures have not accomplished enough to be compared with the Vice President, whose performance he described as unmatched. He maintained that when weighed against Dr. Bawumia’s achievements, the two NDC leaders fall short.

Bentil’s comments come amid ongoing political discourse about the credentials of key figures across the political divide, particularly as the country’s political landscape heats up. His remarks suggest that, in his view, the Vice President’s record sets him apart from his political opponents.

The IMANI Africa Vice President did not mince words, indicating that any comparison between Dr. Bawumia and the two NDC stalwarts would be lopsided given what he considers the Vice President’s superior accomplishments.

Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minority Leader in Parliament and Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, and Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the NDC’s National Chairman, are both influential figures within the opposition party. However, according to Bentil, their credentials do not measure up to those of Dr. Bawumia.

The statement is likely to spark debate among political commentators and party supporters, with supporters of the NDC expected to push back against Bentil’s characterization of their leaders.
