Nationally, over 15,000 aspirants have been cleared to contest in the 276 constituencies.

In the Ashanti Region, the Regional Chairman, Andrew Augustus Nana Akwasi, has urged members of the party to uphold peace and ensure the sanctity of Saturday’s constituency elections.

He stressed the need for members to keep a united front, noting that the main battle lies in the 2028 general elections.

“I call on all aspirants, supporters, and stakeholders to uphold peace, mutual respect, and the spirit of comradeship throughout this process. Let us put aside our differences, heal any divisions and work together towards our shared goal of strengthening the NDC in the Ashanti Region and securing an even greater victory in the 2028 general elections,” his statement said.

More than 6,000 delegates are expected to vote in 47 constituencies across the region.
