ONE TITLE ISN’T ENOUGH: Morena Targets More CAF Champions League Glory With Sundowns

Morena Targets Historic Back-to-Back CAF Champions League Glory with Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns winger Thapelo Morena has set his sights on another major continental achievement, discussing the possibility of winning consecutive CAF Champions League titles with the South African giants.

The Brazilians continue to carry the ambition of establishing themselves as one of Africa’s dominant forces, and securing back-to-back Champions League crowns would represent another significant milestone in the club’s history.

Morena, who has been an important figure in Sundowns’ squad, understands the challenge of competing at the highest level of African club football. Winning the continent’s premier club competition requires consistency, resilience and strong performances across multiple rounds.

The prospect of retaining the title would also place Sundowns in an elite position among African clubs, underlining their ability to sustain success rather than settle for a single triumph.

For Morena and his teammates, the challenge is to turn that ambition into reality. The demands of the competition mean that every match will require concentration, discipline and a collective commitment to the club’s objectives.

Sundowns have built a reputation for competing for major honours, and the opportunity to make history by winning successive CAF Champions League titles would provide further motivation for the squad.
