“We Are Looking For Preventive Vaccines To Eliminate Ebola”- Tinubu
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has spoken about the need to explore preventive vaccines to tackle dangerous diseases, including Ebola.
The President’s remarks highlight the importance of strengthening disease prevention efforts and finding effective medical solutions to outbreaks that pose serious threats to public health.
Ebola is a severe infectious disease that can spread through direct contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person or someone who has died from the disease. Outbreaks have raised major public health concerns in affected communities, making prevention, early detection and vaccination important tools in controlling its spread.
Tinubu said, “The outbreak of Ebola. We are looking for preventable vaccines that will eliminate all these.”
His statement has drawn attention to the role of preventive healthcare and the need to develop effective interventions against deadly infectious diseases.
Vaccines, alongside public health surveillance, timely diagnosis and infection-control measures, remain important in efforts to prevent and contain outbreaks. However, available vaccines and treatments differ from one disease to another.
