Gov’t pays GH¢4.4bn to SSNIT for second-tier pension obligations

Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has announced that the government has paid over GH¢4.4 billion to the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) for the settlement of Second-Tier Pension obligations.He said the payments would help protect workers’ pensions and demonstrate Government’s commitment to managing public money responsibly and meeting its obligations.
