Farotimi Reacts As Man Says People Are Suffering But He’ll Still Vote Tinubu To Complete His Tenure

Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist, Dele Farotimi has reacted to the comment that a man made about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The statement of Dele Farotimi was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Friday, October 23, 2026.

This is coming after the man said although the people are suffering but he will still vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election.

“I will vote for him because I want him to complete his tenure. This administration is a bad one. Let us be sincere, people are suffering”.

However, Dele Farotimi has now shared his thoughts after the post surfaced online. In a statement that he shared on his official X handle, he said Nigerians are exactly where they are because of people like the man.

“A graphic illustration of why we are where we are, and just exactly what we are up against in the pursuit of liberty, equity and justice. My vote counts exactly the same as his and if our situation isn’t as tragic as it is, I would have found a lot to laugh about in this”.
