It cannot be true NDC neglected Kwame Dzokoto – Otokunor

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dismissed claims that it neglected the late Kwame Dzokoto, insisting that the entertainer and party member served both Ghana and the party and deserves to be honoured.

Dr Peter Boamah Otokunor, Spokesperson for the NDC Congress Election Committee, rejected the claims while speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam, describing Dzokoto as a valuable member of the party whose contributions should not be overlooked.

“It cannot be true the party neglected Kwame Dzokoto. We should ignore some of these comments,” he said.

According to Dr Otokunor, the late entertainer made significant contributions to the country and the NDC, making it important for his service to be recognised.

“Kwame Dzokoto has served this country; he has also served the party. He must be honoured, and he will be honoured,” he stated.

He disclosed that the party had already paid tribute to Dzokoto during a press conference held the previous day, where the General Secretary led party officials in observing a minute of silence in his memory.

“During our presser yesterday, the General Secretary led in standing and giving him a minute of silence, and we are in touch with the family,” Dr Otokunor said.

He said the party remained in contact with the bereaved family and reaffirmed its commitment to honouring Dzokoto for his service.

Dr Otokunor’s comments come amid public discussions about the party’s relationship with the late entertainer and the recognition of his contributions following his death.
