The fomer Vice President of Nigeria and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar has taken to his official X account on Friday, October 23, 2026 to criticize the policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This came after the federal government announced that some cases of Ebola have been recorded in the country.

In the statement that Atiku Abubakar shared on his page, he compared Ebola with the name of the President. He said while the disease has destroyed so many lives, the policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has brought hardship upon the people of Nigeria.

The ADC presidential candidate stated that the effect of the polices of the current administration is as deadly as that of Ebola.

He said instead of looking for ways to curb the spread of the disease, the government is focused on debating about how two words sound.

According to Atiku Abubakar on his official X account;

“Ebola destroys lives through disease. Bola’s policies have made food and medical care unaffordable and buried businesses that Nigerians spent years building. Yet the APC wants a debate about how two words sound”.
