Authorities in Abia, Enugu, Anambra, and Ebonyi have stated that they are taking precautions, such as monitoring suspected cases, improving infection prevention and control, and publicizing the disease, even though no Ebola case has been confirmed in any Southeast state.
The Abia Ministry of Health has stated that it is actively seeking to acquire essential supplies such as hand sanitizer, thermometers, personal protective equipment, and equipment for isolation centers.
Health workers and public health teams were put on alert, according to Dr. Blossom Uma-Kalu, the Permanent Secretary.

She stressed the need of keeping calm and being on the lookout for any suspicious symptoms, as well as the importance of not immediately diagnosing unusual symptoms as malaria and instead conducting thorough evaluations.
The Public Health Emergency Operations Center was activated again, and monitoring was ramped up across all seventeen LGAs in Enugu.
Rapid response teams were prepared and collaboration was enhanced with the NCDC, Federal Ministry of Health, Port Health Services, and airport authorities, according to Prof. George Ugwu, Commissioner for Health.
Residents were notified to practice good hand hygiene and depend on confirmed information, and healthcare facilities were urged to quickly isolate and report any suspected cases.

Officials will keep an eye on passengers departing from African nations, according to Dr. Afam Ben Obidike, commissioner of health in Nigeria.
He revealed that a total of forty individuals were under surveillance, with thirty-three of them cleared and seven remaining under watch.
Additionally, the state’s plan for rapid response, public communication, laboratory coordination, and surveillance has been fortified.
Dr. Moses Ikenna Ekuma, Ebonyi’s commissioner for health, announced the training of health workers and the equipping of an isolation center.
Properly cooking bush meat, practicing good hygiene, and being cautious during burials of people who die for no apparent reason were all things he emphasized to the locals.
