Dr Irvin Khoza Sends Emotional Message as Mandla Ncikazi Parts Ways With Orlando Pirates, Check Out

Orlando Pirates chairman Dr Irvin Khoza has paid tribute to Mandla Ncikazi following his departure from the Soweto giants, expressing gratitude for the coach’s contribution while wishing him success in his next professional chapter.

Ncikazi’s exit marks the end of a significant period at the Buccaneers, where he served as part of the club’s technical team and contributed to its efforts to remain competitive in South African football.

Khoza, a respected figure in the domestic game, acknowledged Ncikazi’s service and emphasised that the club respects his decision to pursue a new opportunity.

In a message reflecting the club’s appreciation, the Pirates chairman made it clear that Ncikazi leaves on good terms, with the organisation recognising his commitment during his time in black and white.

“Mandla leaves with our gratitude and our blessing. His contribution to Orlando Pirates has been evident throughout his time with us.

“We respect his wish to pursue this new opportunity and wish him success as he takes on a new responsibility,” Khoza said.

The statement underlines the club’s willingness to support Ncikazi as he prepares to take on a new challenge, while acknowledging the role he played during his association with the Buccaneers.

Ncikazi became part of the Pirates technical setup during a period in which the club sought to strengthen its position among South Africa’s leading football teams. His involvement formed part of the broader efforts to maintain high standards and compete for honours across domestic and continental competitions.

His departure will inevitably draw attention from supporters, particularly given the expectations surrounding Orlando Pirates and the importance of stability within the technical team.

However, Khoza’s remarks suggest that the relationship between the club and the departing coach remains respectful, with the chairman choosing to focus on appreciation rather than the circumstances surrounding the separation.

For Ncikazi, the opportunity to take on a new responsibility presents a chance to continue his coaching career in a different environment. His experience at one of the country’s most prominent football institutions could prove valuable as he moves forward.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates will turn their attention to the challenges ahead as the club continues pursuing its ambitions in South African football.

Khoza’s message serves as a dignified farewell to Ncikazi, recognising his contribution to the Buccaneers while wishing him well in the next stage of his career.
