Kenyans Left Guessing as Jayne Kihara Reveals Special Treatment Ndindi Nyoro Allegedly Received
Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara has sparked fresh political debate after claiming that Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro enjoyed special treatment during meetings when Rigathi Gachagua served as Deputy President.
According to Kihara, Nyoro had a designated seat reserved for him during the meetings, while other lawmakers had to find available places to sit.
The unusual arrangement reportedly raised questions in Kiharaâs mind about Nyoroâs standing and possible influence within the administration at the time.
Her remarks come amid growing political tensions between leaders allied to Gachagua and Nyoro, who now leads the Peopleâs Party of Kenya (PPK).
The disagreement has increasingly focused on Nyoroâs loyalty to the opposition and his political relationship with President William Ruto. Kihara has questioned Nyoroâs position within the opposition, while the Kiharu MP has pushed back against accusations directed at him.
The dispute reflects wider divisions within opposition politics ahead of the 2027 General Election, with different camps competing for influence, regional support and political alliances.
Nyoroâs growing association with other opposition figures has also attracted scrutiny from Gachaguaâs allies, who have raised questions about his political strategy.
However, Kiharaâs claim about the reserved seat does not, on its own, establish that Nyoro received other special privileges or that any improper arrangement existed.
Neither the seating arrangement nor the suspicions surrounding it should be treated as proof of wrongdoing without further evidence.
As political rivalries intensify, the exchange highlights how past relationships and alleged privileges are becoming part of the wider debate over leadership and trust within Kenyaâs opposition.
