Bank of Ghana Announces Official Daily Exchange Rates for Thursday, October 22, 2026

The Bank of Ghana has announced its official daily exchange rates for Thursday, October 22, 2026, showing the latest buying and selling rates for the US dollar, British pound sterling and euro.

According to the exchange rate figures published by the Bank of Ghana, the US dollar is trading at a buying rate of GH¢11.6492 and a selling rate of GH¢11.6608.

The figures represent the average interbank exchange rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

The British pound sterling is also trading at a buying rate of GH¢15.5947 and a selling rate of GH¢15.6115. This places the pound above both the US dollar and the euro in terms of its value against the Ghanaian cedi.

Meanwhile, the euro is quoted at a buying rate of GH¢13.0686 and a selling rate of GH¢13.0815.

The exchange rates provide an important reference for individuals and businesses involved in international trade, foreign payments and other transactions that require the conversion of foreign currencies into Ghanaian cedis.

Importers who purchase goods from abroad may pay close attention to these rates when calculating the cost of their transactions. Similarly, individuals sending money internationally or making payments in foreign currencies may find the figures useful when estimating their expenses.

However, the actual rates offered to customers may vary from one commercial bank or forex bureau to another. Customers are therefore encouraged to check with their banks or authorised foreign exchange dealers before completing transactions.

The Bank of Ghana publishes exchange rate information to provide the public with a reference for understanding movements in the foreign exchange market.

The latest figures provide an indication of the relative values of the three major international currencies against the Ghanaian cedi as of the close of business on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Market participants and the general public will continue to monitor exchange rate movements because changes in the value of foreign currencies can affect import costs, business operations and personal financial decisions.
