Wild True Stories That Sound Fake But Actually Happened
0Life is full of twists and turns. And as such, RevolutionaryWay45 asked in this Reddit thread, "What's something that happened to you that sounds completely made up, but is 100% true?" The redditor even shared an anecdote about a man who helped his father change a flat tire in the pouring rain, who turned out to be…none other than Keanu Reeves. Sometimes life is unbelievable, isn’t it? Here’s what people said below.1. "I gave myself a brain injury and have zero memory before my accident. I was 37 at the time, and all the memories before hitting my head were gone. I knew my husband, kids, mom, and dad. I didn’t know the names of my in-laws and referred to them as ‘that lady’ and ‘that man,’ which makes sense because I never liked them before. Everyone else was a stranger. It’s odd because I know when someone ‘belongs’ to me, if that makes sense. Like, it’s ingrained deep down when you’re comfortable with someone. On the flip side, if I didn’t like them before, I can usually feel that, too. My husband and family don’t ‘force feed’ my feelings. I usually ask if I didn’t like them before, and it’s usually a yes."Piyaphorn Promnonsri / Getty Images—whoowho2

"I worked at a popular pizza place as a teen, and the assistant manager got caught doing the same thing with the pizza dough left in the walk-in. Of course, he was fired, but we all wondered how long he had been doing it."
"Funny enough, all I could think about was George Costanza and shrinkage. My friends showed up and took over, including my girlfriend. They had me face a direction so that most people would only see my ass. Then the fire truck and ambulance arrived. I was put in the ambulance, taken to the hospital, professionally cleaned, and given a couple of shots.
Here’s the moment you’ll all gasp: I’ve been married to that girlfriend for 26 years. Still have the same friends, too. And every year around the anniversary of the incident, they get me a blue cocktail. I still have a special place in my heart for the people of Wyoming. Nobody laughed, which amazes me."
"Mostly, we talked about my thoughts on the show and how it allowed me to connect with my dad because we had basically nothing else in common except for the love of all things Trek. Also, it was the reason I was in STEM and interested in space in the first place.
He did say he thought Brent Spiner was one of the funniest people on the set, and I laughed at the irony because Brent, of course, played Data, who, as a character, really struggled with understanding humor, etc.
I think he kept me talking mostly to help keep me calm, but he was very attentive and super easy to talk to (once I got past the star-struck bit)."
