Her social media accounts, which were previously associated with the Florence Obinim name, now prominently feature Lioness Ministries.

The change comes amid reports concerning the status of her marriage to Bishop Daniel Obinim, the founder of International God’s Way Church.

Reports have circulated that Florence’s family returned the marriage drinks, a traditional practice in Ghana that can signify the end of a marriage.

The rebranding also follows a viral video in which Bishop Obinim reportedly told Florence to stop using his surname. He allegedly instructed her not to identify herself as Obinim and reportedly said she should not attend his funeral.

Florence had earlier said she would be willing to give up the surname if her husband requested it. She explained that her calling and faith were more important to her than the name and maintained that her ministry would continue even if she adopted a different identity.

Followers reportedly noticed the new branding on TikTok. Her account now uses the Lioness Ministries name, while promotional content for her church activities also identifies her as Lioness.

Her biography still carries the description “Dr Florence Obinim, Musician, Preacher,” but the primary name on her social media platforms has been changed.

The decision has sparked different reactions among followers. Some have welcomed the change and expressed their support, while others believe it suggests that Florence has begun a new chapter in her life.
