Adeleke, Omisore, Akande, Other Heavyweights Join Forces in Osun for Tinubu 2027 Re-Election Bid

Political leaders from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Accord in Osun State have reportedly formed a coalition to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

According to Vanguard, the alliance, known as the Osun Rainbow Coalition, is expected to be inaugurated in Osogbo on Thursday during activities marking the commencement of the Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council in the state.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, the state coordinator of the campaign council, said the initiative was designed to unite politicians and public office holders from different political parties behind Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, several prominent politicians were identified as members of the coalition. APC representatives include former national chairman Bisi Akande, Gboyega Oyetola, Iyiola Omisore, Ajibola Basiru and other influential party figures.

The PDP and Accord bloc features notable personalities such as Wale Oladipo, Kola Adewusi, Olusola Obada, Olu Alabi and Kazeem Akinleye. Accord lawmakers Senator Lere Oyewumi and House of Representatives member Bamidele Salam are also involved.

The coalition will incorporate the participating parties’ executive structures, alongside politicians seeking elective positions in the 2027 general elections. The APC contingent reportedly includes 12 National Assembly candidates and 26 state Assembly candidates, while Accord’s legislative candidates are also represented.

Former lawmakers, including Sunday Fajinmi, Mudashir Husain, Lasun Yusuf and Debo Ayinde, have equally joined the arrangement.

The coalition also comprises local government chairpersons and influential stakeholders drawn from various backgrounds, including former public officials, academics, traditional chiefs and prominent party leaders.

The alliance is expected to strengthen Tinubu’s political support base in Osun State ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
