COMMENTSManchester United were thrashed 4-1 by Como as pressure piled on under-fire manager Michael Carrick.

The Red Devils are now seven games without a victory in all competitions, with that winless run beginning with the 1-0 defeat by Manchester City in the Manchester derby.

Cesc Fabregas’ hosts were rampant in Italy, as United slumped to 22nd in the league phase table.

Carrick’s side face Bournemouth at Old Trafford on their return to Premier League action on Sunday.
