What Sifuna Said as Wetang’ula, Musalia Walked Out Before His Memorial Address

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna stirred laughter while acknowledging the departure of National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi after the two leaders walked out of the memorial service of former lawmaker Burudi Nabwera in Lang’ata, Nairobi, on Wednesday, October 21.

The two senior leaders were seen heading towards the entrance of Friends Church shortly after Sifuna was invited to address mourners.

As they walked out, Sifuna appeared to acknowledge their departure with the words, “This is Nairobi,” drawing laughter from mourners.

Sifuna however didn’t delve much on the incident and even avoided critizing them.

This comes a day after meeting Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua at his Wamunyoro home in Nyeri, alongside other leaders associated with the Linda Mwananchi movement.

The senator pledged to honour Nabwera by working towards restoring the spirit of unity that characterised Kenya at independence in 1963.

He also appealed to Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera, the deceased’s nephew, whom he described as a longtime political friend with whom he had shared a journey in ODM.
