The Rivers HOA Agreed That The 3 Pro Fubara Lawmakers Who Were Suspended Should Return – Ndukwe

Political analyst Oby Ndukwe has disclosed that the Rivers State House of Assembly has agreed to allow three lawmakers aligned with Governor Siminalayi Fubara to return after their suspension.

Ndukwe made the revelation during an appearance on Arise TV, where she discussed recent political developments in Rivers State and efforts to reconcile opposing political factions.

According to the analyst, Nyesom Wike has held discussions with members of the pro-Fubara camp, with both sides reportedly reaching a significant level of understanding.

She explained that the discussions had resulted in an agreement to work together, although some individuals might still be waiting for further direction from Governor Fubara before fully committing to the arrangement.

Ndukwe also pointed to Wike’s engagement with members of the state assembly, revealing that the lawmakers had agreed to reinstate the three suspended legislators who support the governor.

Beyond the developments in Rivers State, the political analyst defended the growing influence of the Rainbow Coalition, dismissing suggestions that the movement lacks grassroots support.

She maintained that critics who question the coalition’s popularity are disconnected from the realities on the ground and do not fully understand the political activities taking place within communities.

Ndukwe challenged both All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and opposition politicians to demonstrate their own efforts to connect with the electorate rather than repeatedly criticising the coalition’s prospects during television appearances.

She further argued that Wike’s political movement has continued to engage residents through town hall meetings held in different communities, providing an avenue for direct interaction with supporters and local stakeholders.

According to her, these grassroots engagements distinguish the movement from its critics, who she believes have yet to demonstrate comparable efforts to mobilise people at the community level.

The relevant statement can be viewed between 17:10 and 17:16 of the broadcast.
