The iPhone Duo went on sale last Friday (16 October) and pre-order stock sold out almost immediately.

Only those who were very quick to the mark will be receiving their new foldable phone for this Friday's official launch date (23 October).

Apple said that demand for the new iPhone Duo is “nothing short of extraordinary” as those even half an hour late to pre-order have been given a delivery date of January 2027.

However since then, some shoppers in the US and Japan received messages that their iPhone shipping would be moved up to December. One user on X who had been given a December delivery date has now been told they’ll get the phone on the very first day possible: 23, October.

We're still waiting to see how UK customers will be affected as many retailers are still low or out of stock.

You will be able to pre-order the iPhone Duo at a ton of UK retailers. Here's full list of what's currently available and updates on their current delivery dates:

iPhone Duo. SkyAs well as bearing a completely new foldable design, the iPhone Duo also has Apple's largest and thinnest phone screen ever. When opened, the device has a 7.6-inch inner display and is 5.2 mm (0.21 inches) thick when unfolded. When closed, it has a 5.4-inch display – which is still 90% of the size of the iPhone 18 Pro screen– and 11.3 mm (0.44 inches) thick.

Both displays are Super Retina XDR and share the same aspect ratio, so content scales proportionally to being open or closed. A premium nano-texture finish reduces glare and reflections, creating a matte surface that minimises crease visibility and feel. Plus, beneath the inner display, a new FaceTime camera stays hidden when not in use to keep the screen uninterrupted.

The displays also feature ProMotion (which keeps your phone scrolling and movement smooth) and Always On (which keeps a dimmed version of your lock screen visible at all time), plus 3000 nits of peak outdoor brightness. Later this year, iPhone Duo will support Apple Pencil with USB-C, allowing users to take notes, sketch, or mark up documents on either display.

Last but not least, Touch ID is integrated into the side button to get you in whether iPhone Duo is open or closed.

The iPhone Duo is available in two colourways: Star White (light silver) and Night Sky (deep navy).

The model is currently available to pre-order, but will be available to purchase outright from Friday 23 October 2026. Shipping will also begin from this date.
