Raphinha Insists PSG Defeat Will Not Affect Barcelona Ahead of El Clásico

According to Fabrizio Romano on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, Barcelona star Raphinha has insisted that the team’s defeat to Paris Saint-Germain will not have any impact on their preparations for the forthcoming El Clásico against Real Madrid.

Following Barcelona’s 4-2 loss to the French side, the Brazilian winger was questioned about whether the disappointing result could affect the team’s confidence and mentality ahead of their crucial meeting with their Spanish rivals. Raphinha firmly dismissed the suggestion, replying simply, “No.”

The forward’s response demonstrates Barcelona’s intention to put the PSG defeat behind them and shift their attention towards their next major fixture. Facing Real Madrid presents an opportunity for the Catalan club to respond positively and restore confidence following their disappointing European outing.

El Clásico remains one of the biggest fixtures in world football, with Barcelona and Real Madrid competing not only for valuable points but also for bragging rights in one of the sport’s most famous rivalries. The occasion demands concentration, composure, and consistently high performances from both teams.

Barcelona must now focus on recovering from their defeat and correcting the mistakes that contributed to their loss against PSG. While such setbacks can highlight areas that require improvement, they can also help teams identify weaknesses and prepare more effectively for future challenges.

As one of Barcelona’s influential attacking players, Raphinha brings speed, creativity, and attacking intent to the team. His positive outlook could help maintain morale within the squad as the players prepare for the demanding contest against Real Madrid.

Despite Raphinha’s confidence, Barcelona will have to perform at a high level to secure victory. Maintaining defensive discipline, controlling possession in midfield, and converting scoring opportunities will be essential if they hope to overcome their rivals.

The Brazilian’s comments indicate that Barcelona are unwilling to let their defeat to PSG undermine their preparations for the upcoming showdown. However, the team’s response on the pitch will determine whether they can put the disappointment behind them and produce the desired result.

With the highly anticipated El Clásico drawing closer, Barcelona will be determined to learn from their recent setback and demonstrate their quality against Real Madrid.
