NO ESCAPE : NCIC Issues Arrest Warning to Former MP Over Viral Church Remarks
The political atmosphere in Kenya is heating up rapidly as the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) cracks down on controversial public statements ahead of the 2027 General Election. In the latest high-profile move, the cohesion watchdog has officially summoned former Makadara Member of Parliament, Reuben Ndolo.
The seasoned politician is required to appear before the commission on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM. This aggressive action follows a series of controversial statements Ndolo made during a church service on Sunday, October 18, at the Jesus Teaching Ministry Church in Donholm, Nairobi—an area situated within the politically sensitive Embakasi East Constituency.
According to investigative sources, the NCIC is deeply concerned about the former lawmaker’s remarks regarding massive youth mobilization, cross-regional recruitment, and escalating friction among top political figures.
During the viral church address, Ndolo openly claimed that he had traversed several regions, including Busia, Luanda in Vihiga County, and Bondo in Siaya County, to recruit an army of youths. He alleged that he was executing the aggressive mobilization drive under the explicit instructions of a prominent, unnamed senior figure.
Furthermore, Ndolo touched a raw nerve by exposing deep divisions within the political elite concerning the upcoming first anniversary memorial of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in Bondo.
He heavily criticized specific leaders, dragging the name of Suna East MP Junet Mohamed into the mix, over how they allegedly handled family matters during a period when Mama Ida Odinga was distressed. He even dragged former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua into the conversation, challenging his political competitors over planned visits to the Nyanza region.
The NCIC chairperson, Bishop Kepha Nyamweya Omae, has taken a hardline stance against such rhetoric. The commission warned that failure to honor the summons would result in immediate arrest warrants or criminal contempt proceedings.
Ndolo joins a growing list of powerful leaders recently cornered by the NCIC over ethnic incitement, including Rigathi Gachagua and Health CS Aden Duale, as the government fights to maintain national cohesion.
