Hidden behind some of Yeti's headline releases this fall, including an expanded GoBox lineup, the brand's first-ever iPhone case and performance apparel, you'll find a lid.
The Stronghold is the new default top for Yeti's remastered Travel Mug, bringing extra practicality to one of the company's most popular everyday items.

The main hook with the Stronghold is that it's leakproof, meaning the Travel Mug can go from cupholder to gym bag without a second thought.

Notably, the lid has three components instead of four, and it disassembles for easy cleaning in the sink or dishwasher.

The Stronghold also matches the color of the drinking vessel and features two side grip points for better leverage.
The release of the Stronghold is part of a broader effort by Yeti to reinvent its on-the-go drinkware, which comprises more than half of its business now.

Last year, the company released the new Straw Lid, while simultaneously updating the Travel Mug itself. The latter still features double-wall vacuum insulation but comes with a larger handle with softer edges that's more comfortable to hold and better accommodates gloves.

Those changes carry over here, as the Stronghold is only available as part of a set that includes the Travel Mug. That said, it is not only interchangeable with the Straw Lid but backward compatible with previous generations of the Travel Mug that come with threaded fittings.
According to Yeti, it's "not compatible with any Rambler Drinkware that uses a press-fit lid."

The Rambler Travel Mug with the Stronghold Lid is available now on Yeti's website. It comes in two sizes, 20 and 30 ounces, and a handful of launch colorways, including the limited-edition "Pampa Green" and "Stag Red" hues.
