Olise set to become Bayern Munich’s highest-paid player

Bayern Munich will prepare to negotiate an extension for Michael Olise beyond 2029, and the club’s intentions are clear — they will try everything to secure the Frenchman’s long-term future in Munich.

According to board member for sport Max Eberl, no talks have taken place yet, but if they do, Olise is expected to become the team’s highest-paid player.

According to Sky Germany, an extension would make Olise Bayern’s highest-paid player, underscoring how important he has become to the club’s sporting project. Despite interest from Real Madrid, sources close to the Spanish giants reportedly expect Olise to extend his contract with Bayern Munich rather than seek a move elsewhere.

Given his performances and growing influence, Bayern Munich’s determination to keep him comes as little surprise. Olise has established himself as one of the team’s most important attacking players, and securing his future would send a strong message.

The negotiations could prove crucial for Bayern’s long-term ambitions. The club clearly views Olise as a cornerstone of its future, and it appears willing to back that belief financially.

Bayern Munich wants to build around Olise — and it seems like they might be prepared to pay whatever it takes.

A salary around €30-32m and a €250m release clause would basically make him untouchable for any club other than Real Madrid – and even then it would probably require them to part ways with either Vini or Mbappe to get their wage bill back under control.
