A Nigerian Man Linked to Kempton Park Killing Breaks Down in Tears as His Child’s Detail Emerge
A Nigerian man linked to the investigation surrounding the killing of Kempton Park runner Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo reportedly broke down in tears during court proceedings after heartbreaking details about his young child’s living situation emerged.
Kenneth Chibuzor, who is accused alongside two other men of handling and reselling a Garmin smartwatch belonging to the murdered runner, became emotional as the court heard that his minor child had been staying with a friend following his arrest.
The emotional development unfolded during proceedings involving three suspects accused of dealing with property allegedly connected to Moselakgomo, whose tragic death has raised serious concerns about crime and public safety.
According to information presented in court, Chibuzor remains behind bars while investigations continue. His formal bail application has been postponed until 27 October, meaning he will remain in custody pending further court proceedings.
Meanwhile, his two co-accused have already been granted bail of R10,000 each, allowing them to remain outside prison while their case progresses through the judicial system.
The case against all three accused has been postponed until 9 December to allow investigators additional time to gather evidence and establish the circumstances surrounding the handling and alleged resale of the deceased runner’s Garmin smartwatch.
Although the smartwatch reportedly belonged to Moselakgomo, authorities have not charged any of the three men with her murder.
This distinction remains important because their current legal proceedings concern allegations involving the handling and resale of her property rather than direct involvement in her killing.
Investigators are continuing their efforts to establish what happened to Moselakgomo and identify those responsible for her death.
The latest courtroom developments have introduced another emotional dimension to the proceedings, particularly following revelations about Chibuzor’s child and the difficulties reportedly experienced since his detention.
However, the allegations against the accused remain subject to judicial determination, and all three are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
The upcoming bail hearing on 27 October will determine whether Chibuzor qualifies for release under conditions imposed by the court.
As the investigation continues, attention remains focused on the unanswered questions surrounding Moselakgomo’s killing, the movement of her smartwatch, and whether further evidence could help investigators establish the full circumstances of the tragedy.
For now, the three accused await further proceedings while the separate investigation into the runner’s death continues.
