Meghan Reportedly ‘Reeling’ Over Her Ex-Agent’s ‘Brutal Snub’ as He Reveals the Real Reason He Dropped Her

Even though she has been on TV since she and Harry stepped down as senior royals, most notably in her lifestyle show With Love, Meghan, there has been no attempt to return to the business full time.

Still, RadarOnline is reporting that Meghan is upset by comments from her ex-agent Ari Emanuel. WME has since confirmed to People that it continues to represent Meghan and Archewell. The agency did not further clarify Emmanuel’s remark or explain if someone else was working directly with Meghan.

Meghan’s alleged frustration follow reports that she was recently considered for a role in season 3 of Guy Ritchie’s show, The Gentlemen. She subsequently faced severe backlash, and a source told RadarOnline that Emanuels comments “have added another dimension to that scrutiny, particularly given his considerable influence within Hollywood’s talent representation industry.”

“The thing that makes Ari’s comments so extraordinary is that this isn’t some anonymous critic taking a cheap shot at Meghan, and it reads like a brutal snub towards her,” a Hollywood insider added. “This is one of the most powerful figures in the entertainment business, someone who previously represented her and knows exactly how much weight his words carry in Hollywood – and they have left Meghan reeling.”

Though the agency still represents her, the message reportedly cut deep. “Meghan entered that relationship believing she was aligning herself with an agency capable of opening virtually any door in the industry. To then hear the man at the top publicly express relief that her career is no longer his responsibility is an incredibly damaging message, regardless of whether he intended it to come across that way.”

“Nobody outside her immediate circle can know exactly how she’s reacted privately, but it’s easy to understand why remarks like these could feel deeply personal when they come from someone who was once supposed to be helping build your future.”

Emmanuel clarified his comments during an October 2026 appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show. “Listen, I got a busy life,” he told Kelly. “She is finding her voice. I’m happy for her … I just have a lot on my plate. I’ve started a new company, I run TKO, I have clients. It was better to let [others] deal with her and execute against her needs and her desires.”

He continued, “I didn’t want it occupying my brain. When I’m involved in somebody, it constantly—when I wake up in the morning, clients occupy my brain. But that’s what happens. And I just didn’t want to do that anymore. [It’s] nothing about her; I just needed to move on to other things I was doing.”
