The Paris police prefecture said the curfew would run from 11 pm on Monday until 6 am on Tuesday, while demonstrations were prohibited in affected neighbourhoods from 8 pm until 6 am. French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu said 1,200 people had been arrested nationwide during the protests on October 17, while 150 police officers were injured in the violence.
