Charlotte Crosby looks pretty in a pink gown as she puts on a brave face at Pride Of Britain Awards

Charlotte Crosby looked pretty in a one-shoulder pink gown as she put on a brave face at the Pride Of Britain Awards at London’s Grosvenor Hotel on Monday evening.
The former Geordie Shore star, 36, stepped out to attend the annual event just days after undergoing surgery following her second silent miscarriage.
Charlotte has been incredibly open about her and fiancé Jake Ankers, who share daughters Alba, three, and Pixi, 20 months, wanting to add to their brood.
But last month, Charlotte heartbreakingly learned at her eight week scan that she had miscarried.
Putting on a smile for the nation’s unsung everyday heroes, Charlotte looked beautiful as she posed on the red carpet.
While the glamorous event is in full swing, the show will not actually be televised until this Thursday at 8pm – where viewers can catch all the magic of the event.
Charlotte posted a snap of herself in her hospital bed last Friday after sharing the devastating loss with her followers.
Her fiancé Jake Ankers first shared the photo of her following the surgery, while thanking followers for sharing so much ‘love and support’ in the wake of their baby loss.
He wrote: ‘Today Charlotte underwent surgery and we honestly can’t thank you all enough for the love and support you’ve all shown us.
‘Every comment, message and personal experience you’ve all shared with us about pregnancy and miscarriage has meant more than you’ll ever know.
‘Your words have given us so much hope during such a difficult time and staying positive for what the future holds. From the bottom of our hearts thank you all.’
Later in the day, Jake admitted it had been one of the ‘longest and hardest days of his life’, as Charlotte returned home from hospital after her surgery.
He said: ‘Possibly one of the longest and hardest days I’ve had in a long time. In fact, this whole week has been incredibly difficult, both physically and emotionally.
‘It’s been a really challenging week, and if I’m being honest, I feel like I’ve fallen short in almost every area of my life.
‘I haven’t been the happiest person to be around. I feel like I haven’t given Alba the birthday she truly deserved.
‘I’ve struggled to give my best at work, I haven’t been there for the lads like I normally would, and most importantly, I haven’t been the best version of myself for Charlotte when she’s needed me the most.
‘Sometimes life really does the better of you, no matter how strong you try to be. And this week, with everything that’s happened, I feel like it’s well and truly beaten me.
‘We’ve only just got back from the hospital, and I can honestly say I’m physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted.
‘I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has taken the time to message us, check in, share their own experiences and send their love and support. It genuinely means more than you’ll ever know.
‘I’m doing my best to reply to everyone and will get back to you all as soon as I can. Some weeks are about achieving everything you set out to do. Others are simply about getting through them. And this week has definitely been about getting through it.’
Back in May, Charlotte had an agonising two-week wait to have her first miscarriage confirmed and after having the D&C (dilation and curettage) procedure, had an infection that left her in excruciating pain.
While the D&C operation was at first straightforward, Charlotte developed an infection five days later.
The television personality started experiencing agonising pain on the train to London and went straight to St John & Elizabeth Hospital’s A&E.
Charlotte managed to get antibiotics to treat the infection which was caused by a lot of blood collecting in her tilted cervix.
Charlotte previously suffered an ectopic pregnancy back in 2016 and nearly died, while dating her Geordie Shore co-star Gary Beadle. She had to have her right fallopian tube and ovary removed.
An ectopic pregnancy is when a fertilised egg implants itself outside of the womb, usually in the fallopian tube, meaning a baby is unable to develop and leaving the mother’s health in danger.
Charlotte said the difference with the ectopic pregnancy was the fear she may never be able to have a baby as she ‘woke up and my organs had been removed’.
