KPLC Announces Planned Long Blackout Tomorrow: Check If You Will Be Affected

Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity interruptions affecting parts of Bungoma, Migori, and Kiambu counties on Tuesday, October 20. According to the notice issued on Monday, October 19, the planned outages are necessary to facilitate network maintenance and will affect several key areas and adjacent customers during the specified hours.

In Bungoma County, power interruptions will take place from 8 am to 4 pm across two major zones. The first outage will impact Webuye Town and surrounding areas, including the Webuye Sub-County Hospital, Nabuyole Water Treatment Plant, Site and Service, Milo, Kakimayi, Khalumuli, Matulo, Sango, Pan African Chemical, Matete, Chebwayi, Mbande, Kuuywa, Nabwala, Mang’ana, Johari Maize Mill, Hongera Maize Mill, Kwa Dinah, Nang’oto, Muji, and Molo.

Outrage in Bungoma will affect Munyikana, Mwalim House, a section of Dinah, United Millers, Santa Barbra, Malaha, Sirisia, Bunjosi, Webuye Jaggery, Noah Wekesa, Makhese, Bituyu, Mkulima, Mwangale, Ngwelo, Makhele, Kuywa, Matulo RC, Yalusi, St. Joseph, and Checkpoint.

In Migori County, the scheduled power interruption will run from 9 am to 5 pm. The outage will affect Lwanda Magwar, Angugo, Nyora, Nyasoko, Aloma, and Ngira Beach, alongside adjacent customers.

In Kiambu County, electricity supply will be interrupted in two specific areas from 9 am to 5 pm. The first outage will impact Tinganga Market, Sasini, Starshine, Tinganga Secondary School, and Nyautto. The second interruption will affect Kikuyu Town, Ondiri, Kidfarmacco, and Magana, together with all adjacent customers. Residents and businesses located in the affected regions are advised to plan accordingly as the utility company carries out the maintenance works.
