COM vs MNU: Manchester United’s Possible Lineup Against Como

According to a report by Goal on Monday, October 19, 2026, Manchester United will face Italian side Como in their upcoming UEFA Champions League match on Wednesday, with Michael Carrick hoping to return to winning ways after his team drew 1-1 against Leeds United on Sunday. The Red Devils will be looking to secure an important victory, and Carrick could make some changes to his starting lineup as he prepares his players for the European test.

Defenders: Yoro, Maguire, Martinez, Dalot

Midfielders: Carlos Baleba, Andrey Santos

Attackers: Rashford, Youri Tielemans, Diallo

Senne Lammens is expected to retain his place in goal against Como, while Leny Yoro could start alongside Harry Maguire in central defence. Lisandro Martinez is also expected to feature in the backline, with Diogo Dalot likely to take the left-back position as Carrick looks for a solid defensive display from his players.

In midfield, Carlos Baleba could partner Andrey Santos in a double pivot, with both players expected to provide energy, win possession, and help the team move the ball forward. Their performance will be important because Como could look to take advantage of any gaps left in the middle of the pitch.

Marcus Rashford is expected to start on the left wing, while Amad Diallo could occupy the right side of the attack. Youri Tielemans is likely to play behind the striker, where his passing and ability to create chances could help United put pressure on the Italian side.

Bryan Mbeumo could lead the attack as the main striker, with the forward expected to use his movement and finishing ability to trouble Como’s defence. After dropping points against Leeds, Manchester United will need a much better performance, and Carrick will hope his attacking players can deliver the goals needed to secure victory in the Champions League.
