Chief Razaq Okoya’s first child, Fatai Okoya, is in a dilemma over his sour relationship with his father.

He was said to have recently tendered an open apology to his father after being estranged from him for thirty years. Fatai Okoya is 66 years old.

After his public apology, Fatai Okoya went on TikTok Live, where he explained the efforts he had made to reconcile with his father.

Fatai revealed that he attended his father’s 86th birthday celebration and was welcomed properly.

However, when he approached his father, his wife, Shade Okoya, allegedly intervened and told him he could not see her husband.

Fatai revealed that he only wanted to spend some time with his father. According to him, his father saw him but could not say anything before Shade Okoya sent him away.

Fatai explained that he had tried every possible means to reconcile with his father because he simply wanted to make peace with him. He claimed that his father listens to no one and that everyone tries not to offend him.

When asked if there was any reason for their 30-year misunderstanding, Fatai said they had a minor disagreement over money, but he did not embezzle a large amount.

Fatai revealed that he took a small amount of money for himself when he was younger and reckless. He maintained that it was not even enough to buy a car and was something he believed his father could forgive.

Fatai also revealed that one of the things that angered his father was his decision to marry someone his father did not approve of. However, he said he was young and in love at the time.

Chief Razaq Okoya’s brother was also present during the live session. He said Shade Okoya should not have stopped Fatai from seeing his father and that she should have been able to handle the situation as a woman without making things worse.

Fatai’s daughter joined the live session and revealed that she had no relationship with her grandfather. She also claimed that someone kept blocking their attempts to reach out to him.

His daughter, who goes by Zee on the live session, said this was simply about making peace for her father, as she knew he missed his father after many years apart.

The host pleaded with people to help and called on Baba Ijebu, a friend of Chief Razaq Okoya, to speak with him and help facilitate a reconciliation between father and son.

Fatai tendered another apology and asked for an opportunity to see his father. He revealed that they were very close while he was growing up and that he was the only child his mother had for his father.

Neither Shade Okoya nor Chief Razaq Okoya has publicly addressed the claims. Meanwhile, netizens are discussing the situation online.
