MaWhoo and Cyan Boujee Trade Shots Over Wealthy Man
A sharp exchange of words has broken out between Amapiano singer MaWhoo and content creator Cyan Boujee. The two have clashed publicly over a man who is said to be Kagiso Michael Lerutla, the City Manager of Ekurhuleni.
The dispute played out on Instagram Stories, where both women posted messages that many people quickly linked to the same person. MaWhoo shared a screenshot of private texts in which a man asked her to forgive him. She also claimed that the man bought her three houses and paid for them in full with cash. She added that even though the two had been intimate and were no longer together, he was still trying to win her back.
Cyan Boujee responded without showing much concern. She made it clear that she does not care about the houses or the old messages. In her reply, she said the important thing is what is happening now: the man has chosen her.
This is not the first time the names of both women have been linked to Lerutla. Earlier in the year, the senior municipal official faced public questions and legal trouble connected to the use of municipal money. Many people on social media wondered whether he was the person funding the expensive cars, houses, and lifestyles of several well-known influencers.
Lerutla has appeared in court on charges that include fraud, corruption, and defeating the ends of justice. The case stems from an incident in 2019 in which he was accused of arranging for someone else to appear in court on his behalf after he was arrested for speeding. He was later released on bail. While some official statements have said the charges are not about financial misconduct at the municipality, public doubt has remained strong. Opposition parties have also called for him to be suspended while the case continues.
The latest fight between MaWhoo and Cyan Boujee has brought the focus back to Lerutla and the women said to be connected to him. Neither woman has stepped back. Their posts continue to draw attention as people follow the exchange and the wider questions it raises about wealth, relationships, and accountability in public life. The online battle shows no sign of ending soon.
